Your RSVP & your privacy

This notice explains how Aru’s Diwali Party uses information for this invitation and RSVP list.

Google sign-in

You sign in with Google to RSVP and to see the guest list. Sign-in tells the invitation your Google account identifier, name, and email address, and nothing else. It does not request access to your Gmail, Drive, contacts, or calendar. Google also processes sign-in information under its Privacy Policy.

What other guests can see

Only guests who are signed in can see the guest list. They see your RSVP name, your plus-one’s name if supplied, your food or drink contribution and quantity, and whether you are attending or marked “Maybe.” They never see your email address or Google account identifier. Declined responses are kept for the host and do not appear on the guest list.

Storage and editing

Responses are stored in the host’s private Google Sheet, together with your Google account identifier and email address so the host knows who replied and so only you can edit your RSVP. Sign-in sessions are stored separately from the Sheet, only as a one-way fingerprint. They expire after 30 days, and choosing “Sign out” ends the session immediately.

Questions or corrections

You can edit your saved response at any time, or ask Arunima to correct it or remove it from the guest list. Contact arunima.anand25@gmail.com.
